Do you accept insurance?
We accept a wide range of insurances, including Aetna, Anthem, BlueCross and BlueShield, Cigna and Evernorth, Humana, Magellan, MultiPlan, Optum, PHCS Network, Superior Healthplan, TRICARE, UMR, United Healthcare UHC/UBH.

What if my insurance does not pay my claim?
Kindly contact your insurance carrier prior to scheduling your appointment to verify the benefits covered under your plan. If payment from your insurance carrier is not received within thirty (30) days, we will seek full payment from you.
Do I need a referral?
No. You don’t need a referral to be seen at our practice. However, if you have an HMO insurance plan, you might need a referral from your primary care physician through your insurance company before being seen.
What is an initial psychiatric evaluation?
An initial psychiatric evaluation is a structured interview a mental health professional conducts to address chief complaints, onset of symptoms, a history of mental and physical health, treatment previously tried, and family psychiatric and social history. After this is done, the provider makes a diagnosis and discusses a treatment plan.
How long will my appointment last?
Initial psychiatric evaluation appointments are 50-60 minutes. Medication management follow-up appointments last anywhere from 15 to 25 minutes.
What happens at a medication follow-up appointment?
A follow-up is a visit to your healthcare provider after the initial consultation and treatment. It is centered around medication changes and addresses concerns the patient may have.
How often are the follow-up appointments?
Medication management follow-up appointments range from biweekly to a monthly basis.
What can I expect at my first appointment?
Our provider creates an empathetic atmosphere where you can feel at ease, comfortable, and safe. We recommend that new patient paperwork be sent to our office 24 hours in advance to allow information to be input into our electronic health record prior to the appointment.
What services are you not able to offer?
We do not provide long-term therapy, court-ordered evaluations, or child custody evaluations. Additionally, we do not provide letters for emotional support animals.
What is the Cancellation/No Show Policy?
Splendid Hope Psychiatry requests at least a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for cancellation or rescheduling. You will be charged a no-call, no-show fee if you miss or cancel an appointment without 24 hours’ notice.
Can I bring my child/children to my appointment?
We request that you do not bring children to the office unless they are our patients. Children and adolescents must be accompanied to their appointments by a parent or legal guardian.
